We have been made aware over recent days of a suspected scam involving a website on another domain that claims to be from B#. We can categorically state that the website in question, which we will not link to but simply contains our logo and a login section, is NOT related to our business in any way and is using our branding without authorisation.
Several individuals have been in contact with us to say they have been approached for jobs that use the “Be Sharp Platform”, and then the conversation has moved to WhatsApp where they have been sent a link. Following this, they then have to pay money to access these jobs and to receive any future payments which reportedly never arrive.
As a result of these recent events, we believe it is important to make the following points:
- We are not currently hiring for new roles, nor are we outsourcing our work.
- Any contact we would have relating to jobs or work would be done directly and not via 3rd parties and would not use WhatsApp.
- There is not such thing as the “Be Sharp Platform”.
- Our business is based in the UK, and therefore we do not use US phone numbers, agencies, US dollars, or any other foreign entity as part of our business.
- Any legitimate work would NEVER involve an employee or freelancer having to pay money to access their salary or income. Any such suggestions should be treated with immediate suspicion and reported.
If you believe you have been approached by anyone who is not who they seem, or are running a sophisticated scam, please report this to the relevant authorities. In the United States, this would be the FBI Internet Crime Complaint Centre.
Any unauthorised use of Be Sharp’s branding and IP will not be tolerated and we will relentlessly hunt down those responsible to the full extent of the law.
